About Us

Well a little bit about me... my name is Michael Rogan, I am a 25 year old who has recently finished 2 years of Health, Fitness and Exercise at Cardonald College. It is a great course and so interesting to learn all the aspects of health and fitness and just how wonderfully designed and complex the human body is, now thats the present but let me give you an insight into my past. I was quite a chunky kid growing up (had a lot of puppy fat as kids do) wasn't the most active spent a lot of time playing computers and watching TV as it seems most kids do in this generation (an issue we all need to battle). It wasn't until a few years into high school were I started walking to school everyday and taking part more regularly in PE and playing football that I started to lose the weight and feel better about myself.

I continued this throughout the rest of high school and around the age of about 17/18 I joined the gym and would go every so often. I then went onto study engineering for three years at university where I kept somewhat in shape but going to the gym and playing football on occasions, after completing three years to get my degree I firstly realised this was not what I wanted to do and secondly there was no jobs going in line with what the type of engineering I had studied, so I had to get a full time job to pay the bills and try save some money as we all do. so I got a job in a call centre which I did enjoy at all, working 8 hour shifts 5 days a week from a window of 8am - 10pm left me drained, so I would never have time for the gym or to exercise, left me with bad posture from sitting at a computer all day, also piling on the weight from the junk food I was eating and not exercising. I worked in the call centre for nearly a year and was seriously unhappy, unfit and probably the heaviest I had been when luckily I chased up the opportunity to go back to college and managed to get in, I jumped at the chance and handed my notice into my boss and started college the following week.

Now to the present where I have finished the 2 years at college and came away with my Level 3 Personal Training, Level 2 ETM (exercise to music), gym instructor, kettlebells, Metafit, FBX and spin qualifications as well as learning so much in regards to health and fitness with so much still to learn and look forward to doing so. I have been doing my own fitness classes since February 2015 and have been seeing the difference they have been making to people fitness, wellbeing and overall life's, I feel privileged to be able to play a part in these peoples life's and changing them for the best in the way that health and fitness changed mines. I have now worked in several different gym environments  from budget, council and private health clubs, dealing with a wide range of people, looking at their different goals and injuries and ways to progress for them. For the future I look to continue developing myself and my skills and growing my classes and services which I can then use to help motivate, inspire and drive people on. :)
